Mobile Food Vendor Program
Mobile food vending units include trucks, trailer hitch units, pushcarts, stands and foot peddlers. Mobile food vending units are inspected annually for license approval. Mobile vending units are inspected to evaluate the physical unit design and construction and are inspected to ensure food handling practices are conducted properly.
New mobile food vending units are subject to plan review requirements. Mobile food vending unit preparing foods are subject to Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certification requirements. All vending operations must have appropriate approved servicing areas to support the operation of the vending unit.
