Warm Air Apparatus License

The Warm Air Apparatus License has been eliminated through the passage of Bill No. 170166, enacted on April 4, 2017.

The Department will continue to honor active warm air licenses through this licensing period, which ends on August 31, 2017.

Effective September 1, 2017, all warm air permit applications must be made by a contractor licensed under Section 9-1004 of the Philadelphia Code. Please visit our website, phila.gov/li, for a complete listing of application requirements and procedures.

Contractors who perform work within existing one and two family dwellings only, may continue to obtain permits using their PA Home Improvement Registration, Philadelphia Commercial Activity License, and insurance certificate.
