Fire Alarm Inspector’s License

This license is for Fire Alarm professionals.


  • NICET certificate at Level II or higher in the Fire Alarms subfield of Fire Protection Engineering Technology
  • OR – A professional engineer registered in the Commonwealth of PA who provides the department with a signed and sealed statement of qualifications in the field of fire alarm systems
  • Minimum of three years practical experience in the fire alarm field.

RETURNED CHECKS: If your check is returned unpaid for insufficient or uncollected funds, (1) you authorize The City of Philadelphia or its agent to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account to collect a fee of $20; and (2) The City of Philadelphia or its agent may re-present your check electronically to your depository institution for payment.
