Is your business prepared for an emergency? These free workshops will help!

natlprep2September is National Preparedness Month, so there is no better time for your business to do some emergency planning! National Preparedness Month was created by FEMA to encourage people to prepare for emergencies and disasters, whether they are personal or on a larger scale that impacts an entire community.

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has established the READYBusiness workshop to help local businesses identify local hazards and develop a Business Continuity Plan. OEM can present the workshop to your business Monday through Friday, and all you have to do is reach out to their office to set up a time. You will get the chance to hear from experts how to protect a business, putting your emergency plan into action, and more.

The Office of Emergency Management also has plenty of other resources that can assist your business with emergency planning. From an interactive map of Philadelphia’s evacuation routes, to a shelter in place guide – OEM has you covered!
